Ah, GKS2... where first I saw the pretty and was still kidding myself I wasn't going to end up in a new fandom...
*insert evil laughter here*
Yankumi has her moments, but you're right, absolutely smoking in Mr Brain.
I tend to like her best when she loses the glasses and pigtails and gets all serious. Sure, she's good at cute comedy but there's just something about this tiny little woman that exudes menace so well, she was obviously destined to play a killer at some point.
I suppose it's the general UGHness of the cut coming through
Yes, he had woefully bad hair back then. :-( But he was at that awkward transitional stage where he hadn't quite become the gorgeous creature we know and love, so his face hadn't got there yet either. Kame, on the other hand...*dies from prettiness overload*
Kame is really good with the subtleties of Ryu getting in over his head in the Frentzen scenes. That actually becomes more fun to watch when you know what's going on and what he's doing there. What a little angstbunny.
I like that it is all sort of dark and dangerous, and that he's obviously trying so hard to fit in and be liked when it's clearly not the right place for him. It creeps me out a little that one of them calls him "Ryu-chan", actually, because that then brings to mind all sorts of terrible possibilities as to what Ryu's other duties are, and why they really don't want to let him go, and I don't want to go there.
